Country living with a twist. Surrey
Stuck in the 60’s and feeling a bit sorry for itself, this gated estate turn-key property in Esher, Surrey needed more than Marty McFly to bring it back to the future.
Fortunately for us, the client agreed to a total refurbishment, with a stunning mix of classic and very contemporary.
This was the second refurbishment we have completed for the same client.
The style of this project was classic and elegant but with a nod to super slick technology and entertainment.
After a few meetings with the client over a few lattes and moodboards, we quickly got to work on their dream house.
Bespoke glass panel artworks by Lara Aldridge, warming Farrow & Ball paint coverings and wooden floors through the hallway combined to create an inviting entrance through to the living room area.
The living room’s soft palettes of green, taupe and chocolate is punctuated with beautiful antiques and modern finishes.
Traditional linen sofas covered in contemporary fabric anchored with a luxuriously thick wool carpet underfoot.
A stunning CVO large oval gas fire bowl snuggled beneath a specially commissioned oil painting, and the latest Bang & Olufsen audio visual system integrates the living space seamlessly.
Our client likes to entertain on a grand scale and loves cool gadgets, so we sourced and created plenty of floor and cupboard space within the kitchen and dining area too.
We hand painted the kitchen units and integrated a state of the art dishwasher, wolf ovens, and a sub-zero wine storage unit beneath the dark granite worktops to create a striking, gadget packed masculine feel.
A quirky element of fun was also injected into the kitchen with a table football game and a unique beer bottle mirror to reflect our client’s passion for football.
Our client was delighted with the results.
